hahh! that photos have been around in my comp for ages because im too lazy to post it.. hehe oke so can u guess wat is it about??
well yes if u say it's the eyebrow thing.. ur absolutely right!
Hmm i dont know why..but lately..i have..like..a thing for full eyebrows.. it's so sexy and natural.. when i see full eyebrows..i think of someone confident and sophisticated.. im seriously tired of the skinny,shaved/plucked/waxed,super perfect eyebrows..it gets really boring..
among the four lass above, i especially like lohan's n olsen's eyebrows.. they both have different characteristic.. olsen's eyebrows are short and neat whereas lindsay lohan's is slighly uneven but i think they frame her face perfectly.
so yeah..full eyebrows are definitely making a comeback.. on the runways and soon the streets!!
oke it's the usual boring stuff again.. i realli have nothing to write..besides that it was kinda fun today with my aunt, uncle, the princess, the moster n the kiddo at my house n that my mum cooked the most delicious bee hoon goreng ever...yummyness.. yeah and im back with blogthings again..i just love wasting my time doing tis.. and fyi i not feeling well ryt now..fever incoming..booohooo..
hey u noe wat..actualli i have something to write right now.. a few months ago i was reading the book 'A Dress for Diana' by David Emanuel and Elizabeth Emanuel. And i came across the phrase "Something old, something new Something borrowed, something blue"
It was a tradition thingy that they followed in making the dress.. (If im not wrong..something old was the vintage pattern Princess Diana had for her dress..Something new was of course the fabrics that were specially created for her..Something borrowed was the tiara Diana wore on the wedding day..It belonged to her mother and something blue was a little blue bow they sew at the back of the dress..coolness huh)
anyway today..i searched on the phrase and found this useful info..
"The next line of this old saying actually hints at its origin. The complete phrase is:
Something old, something new Something borrowed, something blue And a silver sixpence in her shoe.
A sixpence is a coin that was minted in Britain from 1551 to 1967. It was made of silver and worth six pennies. So this wedding tradition is definitely English, and many sources say that it began in the Victorian era. Each item in this poem represents a good-luck token for the bride. If she carries all of them on her wedding day, her marriage will be happy. "Something old" symbolizes continuity with the bride's family and the past. "Something new" means optimism and hope for the bride's new life ahead. "Something borrowed" is usually an item from a happily married friend or family member, whose good fortune in marriage is supposed to carry over to the new bride. The borrowed item also reminds the bride that she can depend on her friends and family.
As for the colorful item, blue has been connected to weddings for centuries. In ancient Rome, brides wore blue to symbolize love, modesty, and fidelity. Christianity has long dressed the Virgin Mary in blue, so purity was associated with the color. Before the late 19th century, blue was a popular color for wedding gowns, as evidenced in proverbs like, "Marry in blue, lover be true."
And finally, a silver sixpence in the bride's shoe represents wealth and financial security. It may date back to a Scottish custom of a groom putting a silver coin under his foot for good luck. For optimum fortune, the sixpence should be in the left shoe. These days, a dime or a copper penny is sometimes substituted, and many companies sell keepsake sixpences for weddings"
